Unlikely Miracles

The Nameless

8th February 2020

Scripture Reading: 2 Kings 6: 1-7

Focus

“And the sons of the prophets said unto Elisha, Behold now, the place where we dwell with thee is too strait for us.” (2 Kings 6: 1)

It is instructive to observe that the vision for a bigger place of abode for the Elisha and the sons of the prophets did not come to Elisha himself. It came to the sons of the prophets. These sons of the prophets didn’t have their names mentioned; a new thing was about to come forth, a new achievement was about to be recorded, and it came through those who had no name. It was an exploit that came through the nameless.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: you may be nameless, but in 2020, through you, the Lord will make new things happen. You may be nameless, but you are about to become the best thing that happened to your generation. You may not have the pedigree of the Elisha’s of this world, but through you, what the Elisha’s have never achieved shall become your reality; you may not have the prominence, but you will have the achievement.

The fact that those sons of the prophets did not have a name did not stop them from stepping out to achieve a new thing that even Elisha could not and did not achieve. Hear me again: the fact that your name is not known, will not stop you from achieving what you desire to achieve; the fact that you are not popular will not stop the doors from opening to you when you knock; your lack of name will not stop you.

God specializes in using the foolish things of this world to confound the wise; God specializes in using men without a name to make a name for Himself. If God be for you, the name you do not have won’t be a limitation; if God be for you, you will achieve what others ahead of you have not been able to achieve. If God be for you, you will be included in the great things that God will make happen in your environment.

Declaration
