From Evil To Good

7th April 2020

Scripture Reading: John 19: 28-30

Focus

“Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth.” (John 19: 29)

When Jesus complained of thirst, His tormentors gave Him vinegar. One of the uses of vinegar in bible times was to moisten the throat while one was speaking. So when they gave Him vinegar, they simply moistened His throat to help Him speak up. They may have meant to punish Jesus, but they made His throat ready to speak the final word: It is finished. They may have been enemies, but they made a contribution that Jesus needed.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: those that are trying to put you down will end up making contributions towards your next level. Those that are plotting your downfall shall become messengers of your elevation. Those that are currently working against you shall bring the ‘vinegar’ that will help you to speak up. Your haters will make useful contributions towards your greatness. Adversaries will bring what you need to advance.

Those that held Jesus captive may have had wrong intentions when they began giving Him vinegar; but they had no idea what they meant for evil had become a tool to help the agenda of Jesus. Hear me as I hear the Lord: they may have meant it for evil, but God is turning it all around for your good. They may have intended to disgrace you, but God will interrupt their plans and use same to work for your good.

Get set: every plan that was originally meant to work against you shall turn around to work for your good. Every conspiracy that was hatched against you shall turn and work for your good; every hate they showed you will work for your good; every slander, backbiting, disgrace, gossip, lie, etc that was crafted against you shall turn around and work in your favour.

If God be for you, nothing and no one can be against you. If God be for you, every evil will work for your good.

Declaration

What was meant for evil shall work for my good, in Jesus’ name!
