Fruitless Efforts

22nd August 2020

Scripture Reading: Luke 5: 1-11

Focus

“And saw two ships standing by the lake: but the fishermen were gone out of them, and were washing their nets.” (Luke 5: 2)

Our Focal Scripture speaks of that moment when Peter was washing his net. Peter had toiled all night and caught nothing, and it was time for him to clean up his net after a fruitless night. So he made efforts all night, but all that his net caught, was dirt. He made efforts and ended up with dirt. He made efforts, but his efforts were a waste. He made efforts that kept him at the same spot. He made efforts that positioned him within boundaries.

Friend, hear me as I hear the Lord: the cycle of fruitless efforts is over. The cycle of efforts without results, is over. The season when you will work hard and have nothing to show for it, is over. The season when you will travail without bringing forth, is over. The season when your results will mock your efforts, is over. The season when you will waste your resources without making gains, is over.

Every power of darkness that is causing your efforts to remain fruitless, by the power of God, I command it to give way. Every messenger from the pit of hell that has caused your efforts to be without commensurate results, I command the fire of God to burn it to ashes. I command every policy that is against your productivity to go down; I command every conspiracy against your productivity to go down.

Henceforth, you will be counted among those whose results exceed their efforts. Yours shall be called a case of favour above labour. Yours shall be called a case of results that are way beyond what you put in. God will cause you to have results that will be too big to be called your result. God will cause you to have results that are too high for your level. God will cause you to have results that far outweigh your capacity and capabilities.

Ask God to position you on a new level where your results will outweigh your efforts. Ask God to position you on a new level where your efforts will no longer be fruitless.

Declaration

The cycle of fruitless efforts is broken; I have favour over labour, in Jesus’ name!
